How often should I check my tyre pressure?

MINI recommends the pressure of your tyres should be checked every 2 weeks and at the very least, once every month.

Maintaining tyre pressure (general day to day use)

Check your tyre pressures regularly and by following the step by step process described here:

Step1. Check the tyre placard – usually inside one of the front door openings – or the owner's manual for the correct tyre pressures for your car. The pressure often differs for the front and the rear tyres and the loading of the vehicle (passengers / luggage).

Step 2. Unscrew the valve cap on the air valve of your tyre.

Step 3. Push your tyre pressure gauge firmly onto the tyre valve.

Step 4. Look at the pressure reading on the gauge.

Step 5. If the reading is low, attach the air hose to the tyre valve and increase the pressure to the correct level, rechecking with your own gauge if necessary.

Step 6. Screw the valve cap back onto the tyre air valve.

Please also refer to your Owner’s manual for guidance on how to check tyre pressures.
